Project overview
The ENSURESEC project, titled “Addressing cyber and physical threats for e-commerce in the digital single market,” commenced on June 1, 2020, and concluded on May 31, 2022. It successfully reached completion and involved the collaboration of several countries and partners, including Germany, France, Portugal, Romania, Greece, Israel, Cyprus, Poland, Spain, Lithuania, and Hungary.
Project focus
ENSURESEC aimed to bolster the security of online transactions and deliveries in the digital single market by addressing cyber and physical threats prevalent in e-commerce. It developed cutting-edge solutions to mitigate risks such as malicious web application alterations, delivery discrepancies and fraud, while also educating SMEs and citizens about these risks to foster a safer e-commerce environment. By addressing threats such as malicious web application modifications and delivery fraud, ENSURESEC sought to enhance the reliability and trustworthiness of the digital market. Furthermore, the project embarked on an extensive awareness campaign targeting SMEs and citizens to educate them about e-commerce security risks.
Our role
Relational played a crucial role in Exploitation Management within the project. This encompassed ensuring the security of system interfaces, designing appropriate responses for affected users and partners, and enhancing awareness and training to increase citizens’ understanding of e-commerce security threats. Through strategic guidance and collaboration, we facilitated the effective leveraging of project results, maximizing their impact and utility within the e-commerce ecosystem.
Outcome and added value
The project included a comprehensive methodology and strategy for exploiting project results. This encompassed initial definitions of exploitable results, market analysis, value propositions, and SWOT analyses. Major market segments were identified, along with key elements for the desirability, feasibility, and sustainability of project results. The outcome aimed to understand market trends, assess potential competitors, and outline business and technology transfer models. It also identified target stakeholders and proposed packaging strategies for exploitable foregrounds.
We provided additional value through its contributions to social acceptance assessment and environmental impact evaluation. By engaging stakeholders and ensuring compliance with environmental policies, we strengthened the project’s overall impact. This included efforts in standardization, common regulations assessment, and environmental assessment to foster sustainability and social responsibility within the project’s outcomes.
